These are locked to the OEM’s hardware. Neither the Promise or VIA controllers were able to successfully work.
Not saying yours is, but it’s something to know about. I’ll try connecting the SATA drives later for additional storage.

I downloaded the latest drivers from ASUS. Thank you for helping us maintain CNET’s great community. The motherboard doesn’t have the SATA ports enabled.
